Why Skin and Proximity Effects Matter

To achieve this quality, we’ve focused extensively on two effects that significantly impact sound purity:

The Skin Effect causes current to flow mostly on the surface of the conductor at higher frequencies, resulting in higher resistance and distorted high-frequency reproduction.
The Proximity Effect occurs when the forward and return conductors influence each other, particularly in the bass range, leading to sound distortion.
Through the careful selection of conductor dimensions and an intelligent geometry, we’ve minimized these effects in the CCC-1. As a result, the entire frequency spectrum, from the finest highs to the powerful lows, remains completely natural.
